I am a member of the CFA (Chandler Family Association) and a member of the CFA Y-chromosome DNA project. My kit number is 109219. I am in Group 7A of the DNA project. In other words I am among those who can claim descendancy from John Chandler who arrived in Virginia on the ship, “Hercules” at the age of nine in 1610. I am hoping to find my direct line back to John and in the meantime I am continuing to do research on my own for the CFA using books in my own personal library, books at other libraries, information available online, etc to lead me to original documentation to provide accurate information concerning the Chandler surname. My main research is of the line of John Chandler of 1610 but I am willing to post information about any of the lines of Chandlers and collateral families.
